We are thrilled to announce the call for nominations for our upcoming awards event to celebrate outstanding businesses and individuals who have made significant contributions Lunenburg and Queens Counties.
Nomination Guidelines
We invite nominations from all sectors of the business community that exemplify the spirit of entrepreneurship, community service, environmental stewardship, and innovation. You are welcome to nominate your own business.
How to Nominate:
To nominate a business or individual, please complete the form below for each submission. A business only needs to nominated once per award category. Multiple nominations for the same business in the same category will not increase their chances of being selected as a finalist.
All nominations must be received by 11:59pm on Monday, September 14th, 2026.
Nomination Form
Please input the information of the Business you are nominating below. Please check the eligibility for the category in which you are nominating for. If the business does not meet eligibility requirements (ie. non-profit organizations), they will not be contacted.
Once the nomination period has closed (September 14th, 2026), all nominees will be sent a follow-up form to accept the nomination and confirm that they are nominated for the correct award. They will also have the opportunity to provide additional information for the judging process.

Nomination Process
Nominations are collected from the general public during the nomination period. Each nominee must accept their nomination and review the eligibility requirements for each category. It is the responsibility of the nominee to ensure they are in the correct category or move to a better-suited category for their business. All nominees must complete a judging package to be considered for an award.
Determination of Winners / Finalists
A panel of not less than three non-partisan judges will review the judging packages from each category. Judges will review each of the packages independently and score each question mathematically on a scale of 0-4. Nominees can earn the same scores as others in the category, but it is not ranking.
For example, if a judge feels that several nominees are performing exceptionally in a certain area, they can award each of them a score of “4” for that question. Judges will be asked to provide their top pick for the winner and share a couple of notes stating why. Once all the packages are scored, they are sent back to the Collective’s Executive Director to fill into the master spreadsheet which tabulates the total scores for each question for each nominee.
The nominee for that category with the highest score wins the award. The top three highest scores will be recognized as the finalists. If there is not a clear winner from the mathematical scores, judges may be asked to join a brief virtual call to come to a consensus.
Removing Bias
Judges are to only judge nominees based on the information in the judging package. Please do NOT use personal knowledge of the nominees when scoring.
Confidentiality
The packages are collected by the Collective’s Administrator who is bound to a privacy agreement. The packages are only shared with the judges. All information in the packages is considered confidential in nature.
By agreeing to judge, you are agreeing not to communicate, divulge, publish, or otherwise reveal, directly or indirectly, to any person, firm, corporation, or entity any knowledge of confidential information which may be revealed during this process.
Scoring
The beginning of the document provides a brief description of what the judges should be looking for. Please review this and score each question on a scale of 0-4. Four is the highest possible point for each question. As noted above, you can award multiple nominees the same score, but please keep in mind that we are trying to determine a winner and expect one to take the lead. At the end of each document, we ask that you select your overall pick and provide a few sentences as to why you’ve selected that nominee.
